SelectSpokane.com establishes a GIS-based Regional Site Selector website which allows citizens and businesses access to available commercial properties, business locations, land based GIS information, and demographic and market information. The site leverages the community's existing investments in GIS to foster economic development, empower developers and investors with information, and improve regional economic development capacity. The project is organized and managed by the Spokane Regional Site Selector Consortium. The Consortium is an open group of public and private organizations committed to the creation and ongoing maintenance of SelectSpokane.com. As an open consortium, it can be expanded to include new members and actively solicits new members. Current Consortium members are: City of Spokane, City of Spokane Valley, Spokane County, City of Liberty Lake, City of Cheney, Greater Spokane Incorporated, and Avista Utilities. The Consortium is managed by Eastern Washington University.
